Product overview
US Army Support Group brings the command team and the heavy support weapons of a Bolt Action American infantry force together in one box of metal figures. Command comes from two officers, a field medic and a radioman who also acts as spotter, and behind the rifle squads sit a medium machine gun and a medium mortar. The gun is the Browning M1919A4 .30-cal, heavy enough that it was only ever fired from its tripod, and the mortar is the 81mm M1, from the family of weapons that killed more infantrymen than any other in the war. In the studio set the medic carries a stretcher.
- 10 metal 28mm figures
- Plastic bases included
- Browning .30-cal: around 500 rounds a minute, effective past 1,000 metres
- 81mm M1: a dozen bombs a minute from an average crew
- Supplied unassembled and unpainted
