The 1 lb Pink presentation is suited to regular modelling and repair jobs that need more than a trial amount without moving to bulk workshop tubs. One 8 oz (227 g) Part A jar and one matching Part B jar together provide the full 454 g. Its coloured working body makes freshly added forms easier to track against grey or primed areas as they are adjusted. Once the components are combined, the putty-like mixture remains workable for 1–3 hours.

  • Measure A and B in equal 50/50 portions and knead them together for two minutes to activate the mix.
  • It sets through self-hardening and does not require baking.
  • Leave the work for the entire 24-hour cure before attempting to sand or drill it.
  • The cured material is described by Aves as hard and waterproof, with 0% shrinkage.
  • A five-minute pause immediately after mixing can improve handling during later detailing.

What's the difference between Green Stuff and Milliput-type putties?

Green Stuff is flexible and springy, holding fine sculpted detail like cloth and cabling. Milliput-type putties are harder-setting and sand smooth once cured, which makes them better for gap-filling and surfaces you want to blend flat. Many sculptors mix the two.

How do I stop epoxy putty sticking to my tools and fingers?

Keep a little water on the tool and your fingertips as a release; the putty won't grab a wet surface. Work in good light and let very tacky putty firm up for a few minutes before shaping fine detail.

How do I get the mixing ratio right?

Most epoxy putties cure at a 1:1 mix of the two parts by volume, kneaded until the colour is fully even with no streaks. Under-mixing leaves soft patches that never fully harden, so mix longer than feels necessary.

How do I fill a seam gap cleanly without losing nearby detail?

Press a small amount of putty into the gap, then wipe the excess back with a wet tool or a cotton bud before it cures, leaving putty only in the recess. Cleaning up wet saves sanding over detail later.
