AK Interactive Winter Weathering Set is a four-item mixed-media set for creating worn winter camouflage, streaking grime and small snow accumulations on military and other scale vehicle models. It combines an acrylic fluid for wear and scratch effects, an enamel streaking effect, an acrylic snow texture product and a 3rd Gen acrylic washable white paint. Because the products use different media, follow AK's instruction to use the specific thinner recommended for each item rather than treating the set as a single paint system.

Set contains: AK088 Worn Effects Acrylic Fluid (Acrylic), AK014 Winter Streaking Grime (Enamel), AK8088 Snow Texture (Acrylic) and AK11372 Washable White Paint (Acrylic, 3rd Gen)
Worn Effects Acrylic Fluid is applied beneath an acrylic topcoat, which can then be dampened with water and worked to create wear and scratch effects
Winter Streaking Grime is a light-grey enamel for dirt streaks on light or white surfaces; AK advises softening it with a flat brush dampened with White Spirit
AK identifies AK8088 only as an acrylic Snow Texture product and publishes no guidance on its consistency, coverage, drying or application
The printed blister still carries the superseded code AK751 for the Washable White Paint; AK's current set page and product page both use AK11372

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
