Product overview
AK093 is an enamel wash for the insides of vehicles — crew compartments and other interior detail finished in pale colours such as RAL 9001 Cremeweiss or white. Worked around the raised detail, it lays down dirt and grime against the light surface, and after roughly fifteen minutes the surplus is cleared with White Spirit so the grime stays in the corners and recesses.
- Also suited to winter camouflage schemes, not only interiors.
- Deposited with a medium round-tip brush, dropped in around the detail you want dirtied.
- Reads as built-up dirt and grime on light-coloured detail rather than a clean shadow.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
