Product overview

Track Rust puts this pigment where its name promises: on AFV and military tracks. Work it straight onto the surface with a round brush; once dry, it leaves a dark, corroded rust finish. You can also blend it with other pigments when the track needs fuel, dust and dirt together rather than rust alone.

Brush AK011 White Spirit into the powder to set it, or use AK048 Pigment Fixer instead.
For a fuel-and-dirt track effect, combine it with AK025 Fuel Stains and dark oil.
Add more AK025 to increase the brightness of the finished mixture.
The screw-cap jar contains 35 ml.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
