Product overview

Some jobs want a gentler solvent. This mineral thinner is softer and less aggressive than normal White Spirit, made for delicate, soft and subtle blending where an aggressive solvent would disturb the paint underneath. It is lightly scented — a pleasant fruity smell rather than the usual solvent reek, which you will appreciate in a poorly ventilated room.

  • Recommended for use with enamel and oil paint.
  • Also recommended for cleaning tools and brushes after enamel-type paint.
  • Ultra soft on the paint surface, for subtle finishes.
  • Shake it until it looks even before use — the one instruction on the bottle, printed in Spanish only.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
