AK9548 creates a dedicated surface for bench jobs that need resistance beneath the part. The steel work block supports photo-etched components, precise cutting, texturing, riveting and filing on a hard, flat face. It serves the role of a small bench anvil for modelmaking, keeping these operations together on one purpose-built working surface.
The steel plate and its wooden base measure 10 × 10 × 1.3 cm together.
The wood absorbs impact while reducing sound and vibration.
Its heavy, stable construction keeps the work face planted during use.

Notes · Q & A
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
