AK8171 uses a pale, yellow-toned Spring Light Green that can represent fresh growth and the brighter tips of mixed vegetation. These 30–40 mm synthetic shrubs sit on woody trunks and are intended for 1:35 scale and for 75 mm and 90 mm work. The lighter colour can lift shaded groundwork, soften the edge of a path or wall, and provide contrast among deeper greens while keeping the planting within a spring palette.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
