Product overview

AK Interactive Real Colors Thinner RC701 is a 200 ml lacquer thinner formulated for the Real Colors paint range. Use it to reduce paint for airbrushing or to adjust consistency for brush application. It is the smaller of the two available bottle sizes and suits modellers who need controlled dilution without committing to the larger container.

  • Formulated for use with AK Interactive Real Colors lacquer paints
  • Adjusts paint consistency for airbrush or brush application
  • Lacquer-based thinner supplied in a 200 ml bottle
  • Made by AK Interactive S.L. in Spain

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
