AK8260 provides green moss scatter for wooded or damp scenery on trees, ground, structures and discarded materials. After the applied texture has dried, AK allows its colour and local emphasis to be retouched with an airbrush. This gives the modeller a separate finishing stage after the physical moss coverage is in place, so the surrounding scene and the scatter can be brought together without relying solely on the original green tone.
AK identifies the scenic material as synthetic
Figure heights listed by AK: 25 mm and 35 mm, with larger scales also supported

Notes · Q & A
What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?+
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?+
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?+
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
