AK8048 supplies two fine-grained cork sheets measuring 200 × 300 mm and 3 mm thick. This format gives modellers material for built-up groundwork, rock faces, ruined masonry and other scenic forms where a clearly raised layer is useful. Sections can be cut to an outline, divided into individual blocks or worked at the edges to break up a regular shape. Multiple pieces may also be arranged together when constructing larger textured surfaces.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
