Black Wash is the pure-black option for fantasy and sci-fi miniatures that need firm shadow definition. It is especially suited to dark colours and schemes built around pronounced contrast, making it the more direct alternative to Dark Wash when avoiding pure black is not the aim. Its stated role is broad rather than tied to one named weathering effect.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
