Abteilung 502 Permanent Violet is a saturated artist oil for building tonal variation over blue, turquoise and violet base colours. AK Interactive recommends it for adding colour strength to figures and states that mixing it with white creates a softer undertone for subtle faded transitions. Its PV23 and PR122 pigment combination allows the shade to function both as a direct violet and as part of broader colour mixes. The reduced-oil ABT502 formula is designed to produce more matt finishes and controlled blending.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
